Kann ich Mittwoch den 30. d. Mts. im Laufe des Vormittages oder Nachmittages, wann es Ihnen passt, auf einen kurzen Augenblick kommen, um mich von Ihnen zu verabschieden? 2

Ihr Amerikaner 3 ist nicht gekommen, hat also wohl schon das Neue gefunden[,] wonach er so sehr verlangt hat. 4

May I pay you a short visit on Wednesday, the 30th of the month, in the course of the morning or afternoon, whenever it suits you, to say good-bye to you? 2

Your American 3 did not turn up. I suppose he has already found the new, about which he was so demanding. 4
