[postmark:] || TA 3 WIEN 128 | 13 IV 28 17 | * R/a * || ⇧ [boxed in pencil, written in ink:] pneumatisch! [for continuation of message from verso, see below] {verso} ⇧ 13. April 28. © Transcription William Drabkin, 2013 |

[printed:] ⇧ Postcard [top-left, picture captioned: Heiligenblut, Carinthia] [sender:] ⇧ Dr H. Weisse, Vienna XIII. Wattmanngasse 5 [to:] Dr. Heinrich Schenker Vienna III Keilgasse 8 [postmark:] || TA 3 WIEN 128 | 13 IV 28 17 | * R/a * || ⇧ [boxed in pencil, written in ink:] by pneumatic mail! [for continuation of message from verso, see below] {verso} ⇧ April 13, 1928 Dear, revered Master, 1 Many thanks for your card. 2 You have not heard from us for such a long time since 1) we both had the flu and 2) in addition I also had an inflammation of the gall blader, which entailed my going to Karlsbad for a cure, special diet, etc. This is the reason why I must, regrettably, give the restaurant a miss on Sunday. 3 How would it be, though, if I were to come to you before the concert, i.e. Sunday between 11 and 11:15 in the morning? {recto} If you are agreed to that, please do not write to me just to say so! © Translation William Drabkin, 2013 |
