wir erwarten Sie also Sonntag ½5 mit grosser Freude, und bedauern nur, dass wir Sie nicht schon früher zur Jause bei uns sehen können: dies geht aber leider nicht, wie wir Ihnen noch mündlich entschuldigend erklären wollen. Wir freuen uns aufrichtig, Sie nach so langer Zeit wiederzusehen. Alles liebe Ihnen beiden.

We will then expect you, with great joy, on Sunday at half past four. We are sorry only that we cannot have you to our place for a meal any sooner: this is unfortunately not possible, as we shall explain when we see you. We are truly looking forward to seeing you again after such a long time. All good wishes to the two of you.
