2 An arrangement of whole notes and tied half-notes, suggestive of fourth-species counterpoint in four voices (species line in the tenor). Schenker's lessonbook for Weisse on June 10 reads: "Exercises; Fantasy [in G minor, Op. 77] by Beethoven several passages; on Fantasy in general."
