Mein lieber Wilhelm! 1

Was war denn los?

My dear Wilhelm, 1

What was going on? It appears that you also wanted to see me. Suddenly, however, as we were getting ready to leave for the train station, the telegram arrived reporting your departure. Too bad we didn’t get to see you. We were very much looking forward to it. How are you? At home, we have work piled on top of work and must nevertheless see to it that we remain healthy.

Many, many kisses from your faithful
