1 Writing of this postcard is recorded in Schenker’s diary for August 26, 1933: “An Wilhelm (Ansichtsk.): reisen am 31. VIII. nach Mönichkirchen” (“To Wilhelm (picture postcard): we are travelling to Mönichkirchen on August 31”).

2 Mönichkirchen lies 967 meters above sea level, about twice as high as Schloss Reigersberg.
