Viennese musician, who studied piano with Richard Robert, composition with Karl Weigl, and musicology with Guido Adler, at Vienna University, after which she worked as Robert's assistant (1916-20), and Weigl's (1929-33) at the Musikwissenschaftliches Institut of the University. She married Weigl in 1921 (after a previous marriage with E. Pazeller, 1910-13), and emigrated with him to New York in 1938, where she worked as a teacher and composer, and, after taking a masters degree at Columbia University (1955), as a music therapist, becoming chief music therapist at New York Medical College, and authoring many journal articles in the field.
