Liebe Frau Wally! 1

2 Kr. für I u.

Dear Wally, 1

What is going on with your family? Even from Floriz I have heard not a single word. Were you so kind as to ask Miss Reich to let me know whether the 2,400 Czech 2 Kronen for [payments] 1 and 2 had been deposited? – the pupil maintains that it has just been done. By now the sum must amount to 3,600. In any event, I must know the name [recte address] of Miss R., so that I do not have to annoy her father unnecessarily. We assume that you are likely to be staying in Baden, something that would in any event be more appropriate. 3

With best greetings,
from your tormented,
