Auf S. 209, Bg. 14 findet sich eine Notiz: „Bitte, U.E. zu citieren“. Da die U.E. die Partitur dieser Symph. nicht herausgegeben hat, so war ich genötigt, den Verlag zu citieren, der die Partitur besitzt. Ich überlasse es Ihnen indessen, das 4-händige Arrangement der U.E. zu citieren, wdas, wie ich heute bei Guttmann eruiert habe, die „N^o 98, II Bd. N^o 7“ trägt. Sollten Sie Wert gerade darauf legen, so wollen Sie den Auftrag geben, dieses Citierung an Stelle der meinen auf den Bg. 14 (Fußnote) {2} zu bringen. ³

Freilich wird auch noch ein Inhaltsverzeichnis zu machen sein, doch erst, bis die Paginierung durchgeführt ist. Außerdem erinnere ich, daß ein Bogen (ich glaube: 13) noch kein Inprimatur hat, da eine Schlamperei in Bezug auf die Seitenlegung im allerletzten Momente passiert ist. ⁴

In the interim, I leave it to you to cite UE's four-hand arrangement, which, as I elicited today at Guttmann's, is "No. 98, vol.2, No.7." Should you think it worthwhile, please give instructions for this citation {2} to be inserted in place of mine in gathering 14 (footnote). ³

Of course, a Table of Contents still has to be made as well, but not until the pagination has been carried through. In addition, I recall that one gathering (I think 13) still does not have its imprimatur, because some sloppy work has occurred at the last moment during the page-make-up. ⁴
