30. 6. [1928]

Lieber Herr Professor (2) (3)! 1

June 30[, 1928]

Dear Professor (2) (3)! 1

There ought still to be such things as Professor 2, Professor 3, and so on, to distinguish true accomplishments from those that have been scavenged in a newspaperly fashion (Specht, Salten, Bricht, etc.). We send our best congratulations. The first Nobel Prize for music will be awarded to Hindemith or Stravinsky, with Krenek in third place. The prize would already be there, except that the jury is still missing (as always).

Greetings from the two of us to the two of you!
