Der Auftrag ging nach Berlin an Privatpersonen. 9 Hefte No 1 des „T. W.“ 1923 [sic] ließ ich kaufen. Zu Hause habe ich die anliegenden Rechnungen. Eine ist von 1925. Die Beispiele genügen alle. Frl. Bekker ist gerne bereit zu bezeugen, daß sie trotz Abbonements 1.) die Hefte zu Einzelpreisen geschickt bekam u. 2.) nur meistens auf ihre Urgenz hin.

Die Hauptsache aber ist noch der Temming -Fall. Meine Bestellung ist doch laut der Rechnung auch nicht anständig ausgeführt worden. Was ist es mit dem Heft X. der Bestellung? Ich habe die 18 Mark ausgelegt. Du kannst mir gelegentlich Dollars im eingeschriebenen Brief schicken. 4 M. 20 = 1 Dollar.

Bei mir nichts, nichts Neues. Ewiges Grubeln u. Denken wie ich meine Zukunft oder die der Meinen halbwegs sicherstellen kann.

Hans Weisse hat mir noch keinen Ton geschrieben trotzdem – – – – – – – –

Your assignment went to private persons in Berlin. Nine copies of issue no. 1 of Der Tonwille (1923 [sic]) were purchased. I have the receipts for these here at home. One dates from 1925. The examples [i.e. the receipts] are all sufficient. Miss Becker is certainly prepared to testify that the issues were sent to her at the price of individual copies, in spite of her having subscribed, and (2) that she received them only after issuing a reminder.

The main thing, however, remains the Temming matter. My order was also not dispatched correctly, according to the invoice. What should be done about ordering issue 10? I paid a total of 18 marks. You can, if you like, send me dollars in a registered letter. One dollar is worth 4.20 marks.

Here there's nothing, nothing new to report. I am forever brooding and pondering over how I can put my future, or that of my family, on a halfway secure foundation.

Hans Weisse has still not written a single word to me in spite of... .

As I also told Hans, I likewise enjoyed the trio section of the scherzo movement and the Variations the best! ²
