Footnotes1 Receipt of this postcard is recorded in Schenker’s diary for May 6, 1931: “Von Deutsch (K.): werde in Ischgl erkundigen.” (“From Deutsch (postcard): he will make an inquiry in Ischgl.”). 2 In his diary of May 4, Schenker recorded: “An Deutsch (Br., diktirt): empfehle aufrichtig u. unter Angabe von Gründen Ischgl.” (“To Deutsch (letter, dictated): I recommend Ischgl sincerely, and state the reasons why.”). The letter is not known to survive. |
