Sehr geehrter Doktor! 1

Dear Dr. [Schenker] ! 1

Many and most cordial thanks for sending the fifth and sixth issues of Der Tonwille. 2 I will have to defer reading them until my holidays (in four weeks' time). I am already looking forward greatly to that, all the more so as I shall have Moriz right at hand.

My sister-in-law Wally and children travel from Hamburg to Schruns as early as the 21st of the month; Moriz will not follow until {2} the middle of July — I do not know for how long. And I also travel around the middle of July. And you: as usual on [the feast of Ss.] Peter and Paul? 3

I wish you and your dear wife once again a good summer and hard-earned and well-deserved recovery from all the trials of winter.

With cordial greetings to you and Li-Li.

Yours,
