1 Receipt of this letter is not recorded in Schenker’s diary, nor is the writing of (non-extant) communications on November 29 or December 5; but the following (non-extant) is recorded on December 1, 1912: “Auftrag an Dr. Groß wegen Briefes an den Bruder.” (“Instructions to Dr. Groß concerning a letter to my brother.”), and on December 3 a conversation is recorded: “Auf dem Wege zur Generalprobe Herrn Katina getroffen, u. durch ihn Einblick in das abscheuliche Lügensystem Mozio’s gewonnen.” (“On the way to the dress rehearsal, I meet Mr. Katina, and through him I gain an insight into Mozio’s despicable system of lying.”).
