2 A facsimile edition of the autograph manuscript of the "Appassionata" Sonata, Op. 57 had recently been issued (Paris: Edition d'Art H. Piazza, [1927]). Schenker made changes to his individual edition of the sonata in the light of this, and this has just been released.
