OC 54/31 - Typewritten letter from Moriz Schenker to Heinrich Schenker, dated July 24, 1925

Eueren Brief vom 9.ds. 2 und Eure Postkarte vom 21.cts. 3 habe ich aus dem Grunde noch nicht beantwortet, weil ich meinen Freund Sobotka abwarte, um ihn zu bitten, bei dem Drei-Masken-Verlag auf kürzestem Wege zu intervenieren. Ich erwarte Herrn Sobotka Mitte nächste Woche und werde dann alles prompt ordnen. Solltet Ihr inzwischen Geld benötigen, so bitte ich Euch, nur bei der "Treuga" ruhig zu verfügen. Nach Rückkehr des Sobotka werde ich selbstverständlich sofort berichten. Ich gehe noch nicht auf Urlaub, weil ich hier noch verschiedene wichtige Sachen zu erledigen habe. I have not answered your letter from the 9th of the month, 2 or your postcard from the 21st, 3 on the grounds that I am waiting for my friend Sobotka , so that I can ask him to intervene with Drei Masken Verlag as directly as possible. I expect Mr Sobotka in the middle of next week and will then take care of everything promptly. If, in the meantime, you should require money, I ask you simply to apply to the "Treuga." As soon as Sobotka returns, I shall of course report immediately. I am not yet going on holiday, as I still have various important matters to take care of. ("From Mozio (letter): he will have Mr. Sobotka intervene the middle of next week."). 2 This letter is not known to have survived; writing of it is recorded in Schenker's diary at OJ 3/7, p. 2840, July 9, 1925: An Mozio (Br.): habe von der U.-E. 7,219800 Kronen erhalten, von den 3 M.V. die 250 M. noch immer nicht! Schlage vor, daß er telefonisch in München anfrage, was vielleicht ein besserer Weg ist, als wenn ich selbst unter einem Vorwand das Geld einfordere; bemerke, daß ich auf Zinsenhäufung großen Wert lege, weil ich die Schülerzahl oder die Saison einschränken will, sowohl unserer Gesundheit wie des Werkes wegen."
