Footnotes1 Receipt of this postcard is recorded in Heinrich’s diary for September 1, 1924: “Von Mozio (Ansichtsk. aus Reichraming): bestätigt die Briefe, besonders den vom 20.; will sich mit mir nach der Rückkunft beraten.” (“From Mozio (picture postcard from Reichraming): acknowledges my letters, especially that from the 20th; wants to discuss with me after my return.”). 2 Schenker’s diary for August 20, 1924 records: “an Mozio (Br.): berichte über die 250 Subscribenten in Hamburg, über eventuellen Prozess.” (“to Mozio (letter): I report on the 250 subscribers in Hamburg, about the potential litigation.”). 3 “Wir” and “uns” and plural verbs indicate that Moriz is including his wife Lisl in this message, just as the plural salutation implies inclusion of Jeanette, despite Heinrich being the sole addressee and use of the singular “Dir.” |
