Vorarlberg and the Schenkers

Heinrich and Jeanette Schenker spent their summer vacations between 1921 and 1931 in the Tyrolean village of Galtür, which was close to the border with Vorarlberg, the Tyrol and Vorarlberg being separated at that point by the Zeinisjoch (Zeinis Pass). Schenker once refers to Galtür as reachable from the Vorarlberg side by footpath. While several of their acquaintances visited Vorarlberg, which is consequently referred to many times in Schenker's diaries and correspondence, the Schenkers do not seem to have entered the state themselves.
