Seidel & Sohn Documents associated with this entity: Correspondence Bookstore located at Vienna I, Graben 13. The company was founded by Ludwig Wilhelm Seidel (1802-94) as L. W. Seidel & Co.. From 1861 to 1900, Seidel's eldest son Ludwig was involved, and in 1894 the company acquired the honorific title "K. u. k. Hofbuchhändler" (Imperial and Royal Court Bookdealer). After Seidel's death, Heinrich Tachauer, Ludwig Wilhelm's grandson, became the new owner. According to OJ 10/3, [3], the book dealership was taken over by Otto Erich Deutsch in November 1919.
