Owner of the Post Hotel in St. Anton in Arlberg, in the Tyrol, where Schenker vacationed in 1908, and Heinrich and Jeanette in 1915 and 1916 (OJ 1/7, p. 89c; WSLB 12, et al; WSLB 247; OJ 8/2, et al; WSLB 273).

As a businessman, he had the honorary title of Kommerzialrat. Son of Carl Schuler (1851–1917), he was in charge of the local fire department 1919–38, and chairman of the music ensemble of St. Anton 1920–32.
