Jeanette left her husband for Schenker on September 10, 1910, and pursued her petition with the active assistance and legal training of Heinrich Schenker through to November 10, 1919, when the separation was allowed and she and Heinrich were able to marry. The course of these proceedings is closely recorded in Schenker’s diaries from 1913 through to finalization.
